Well, I don't need to tell you that Virily.com is a legit site that pays... (I hardly trust any website that reviews a site without valid payment proofs)

So I'll just let the payment prove show you the truth...

Just a side note, it is possible to cash out bi-monthly or even monthly if you work hard enough!! If you really love writing you can give Virily.com a try!

My 2nd Virily Payment!!

Just received my 2nd payment from Virily!! 

Virily is getting better and it's a really fun way to earn by just posting - you can post almost anything as long as they're not offensive or against their T&C (like hitting the minimum number of characters)!!

The people there are friendly and you get an email notifying you if you post is not accepted, with a CLEAR reason and sometimes, a suggestion to improve/change it so that it can get approve!!

Anwyay, I had a great time there and I'm glad I'm rewarded for having fun!!

Virily.com - Update

I know I've written about Virily.com already and I could go back and edit that post but I want to keep things the way they are. I want my readers to be able to see what I've said about the site and then know what had changed.

I've mentioned previously that Virily has gone down hill with many problems like the site being down a lot and posting is difficult.

I've been really frustrated with Virily previously because the admins are not replying emails, but it appears that the admin had heard us and responded to our requests/worries.

The site is back up and running smoothly!! Posting is very easy now and the bugs with posting quizzes and polls have been greatly reduced! The value of Virils (points) has also been increased slightly, which is good news!!

I'm so glad I decided to stick around Virily for long enough to see the changes and improvements and I am having a great time there now!!

Bad news - Virily.com

No, don't worry, Virily haven't turn scam. It's just that the amount of Virils to earn a single dollar is getting really high. The once 10000 Virils = $10 is no longer anymore.

My recent encounter is that 7200ish Virils only gives you about $2.50.

Also the site is now running VERY slow. It's also full of unexpected down times and errors. From the error screen, it's actually because of heavy load on the server. It cause is most likely because of the backlog (past notifications blah) not being cleared on time to relieve the load.

For now, I am also cutting down my time at Virily, because more than 1/4 of the time it's down when I visit it.

Virily is a site that share it revenue with its users.

You earn Virils (points) for posting, commenting and getting views.

Basically, you get 15-30 Virils for posting, depending on which category you posted in. (Polls and Quiz gives you more Virils)

You get 5 Virils when a member view your post and 1 Viril when non-member view your post.

You get 2 Virils for commenting and 1 Viril when others comment on your post.

I've joined Virily for about 2 months now and I've already reached the $10 minimum (for Paypal. For Payoneer the minimum is $100) and cashed out.

Although the site is not perfect, my experience on Virily is a pretty good one still. Posting is really easy and straightforward and the people there are active and really nice. I get views and comments for most of my posts. If I ever have question, the members will try to help me out. The admin though is less responsive.

There are also many challenges that you can join to help you get Virils even when you've nothing to write or post.

Posts are subjected to approval and usually your post will get approved if you don't break the T&C. If your post ever get rejected, the admin will send you a PM with the reason why, just correct those mistakes mentioned and submit again, your post will usually be accepted.

However, the amount of Virils that makes $10 is not fixed, it fluctuates, so you need to keep a look out of your Dashboard for the amount you've earned.

Virily pays at the end of the month and d will pay the next month. Meaning if you reached the $10 in Feb, you get pay on the end of March.

Reviewstream.com Disgusting tricks and Red flags!!

Well, from my previous post I guess its obvious that I didn't get paid by them and that they're very likely a scam site that doesn't pay or just pay that few people to advertise for them!

I know I should really just get over this scam site but I just kept receiving emails from them still! Somehow my reviews are so popular and interesting that people are still reading, commenting, agreeing and disagreeing with them! (Just let me be a little narcissistic to vent some of my frustration lol) OK, and then I made a stupid decision to go back to them...more about it below.


Anyway, the reason I'm writing this is not only to vent and be narcissistic, I am actually here to provide some red flags I discovered while using the site and after some research. But its for you to judge if you want to believe it or not!

1. Manipulating the Trust score!

Before I start, I've to let you know that the Trust score or trustworthy score (whichever I don't care) will affect the rate you get for reviews. What I observe is that if your score is high (100 or above), you probably get at least $9ish as regular rate for even the lowest paid category. But if your score is say negative then it'll be in the $5-7 range (or lower). I confirmed this by checking against another account.

 *Both were taken on 1:59AM on 27 April and for the images based category.

Why I say they manipulate the trust score is I went back recently to take a look at what the readers commented and try resubmitting a few reviews. Just a quick note, your rejected reviews are still stored in their database and there's no way you can delete them. So I just click resubmit and try my luck. Surprisingly one of my reviews got accepted (when I didn't even change anything) but at a low rate, and that's when I realised that my trust score bar is empty after just 1 day!

I don't know to consider myself lucky or not, but I happen to take a screenshot to prepare for this post and I actually took a "last shot" of my positive trust score. 

  
See the picture provided, my score dropped from to 90ish to negative in just one day! The reason they gave is that some readers find my reviews not helpful. Err... Sorry but the statistics disagree. Apparently I see an increase in helpful votes. (There are more agrees than disagrees too)

I don't know how they calculate to cause the great drop in trust score but it's just ridiculous. Unless some hater is spamming and voting all my reviews as unhelpful, the drop shouldn't be so drastic!

I guess we all know what dropping the trust score means, right? It meant that the writer have to write much more reviews to be able to cash-out now that they're paid much lesser. The difference can be close to 10 reviews!! Yes, because that happen to me, I was just about 7 reviews away from cashing out (calculating at average bulk rate) and now, I'm back to 15.

2. Making things difficult.

I don't know I feel it's either that the admin don't know what they want or get knock down by car hence suffer from concussion frequently, or just that they want to make things difficult. Just see the picture below and you'll understand what I mean.

I really don't know why they do that. It's obviously possible for them to point out the problems all at one go or just simply reject the review straight away but they have to make me revise the review twice before rejecting it! *rolled eyes*

3. Constant Unreasonable Rejections

I guessed I covered this in my previous post already. They'll start to reject almost everything you submitted once you're near the payout limit. So basically they have this new "Combo Meal" now - drop your trust score so that you can't earn much per review and then they selectively give you hope by accepting 1 or 2 of your reviews.

I know this sound stupid but when they accept one of my reviews that I resubmitted, I became hopeful about cashing out and I wrote 2 more reviews and resubmitted 3 old ones (editing them carefully obviously) and well ... rejected again, ALL OF THEM. I tried writing a few more, only to get rejected over and over again. Any then the cycle repeated, my trust score plunged again till the rate I get is pathetic.

 
And that's when I got the "wake up slap". Yes, a slap right across my face for being stupid to be trusting them again!


These are my recent painfully observations with them. I also realised that they have been creating accounts in reviews site to start a war with people who wrote negative comments about them and paying bloggers to write positive reviews about them. They're back to scam again!

I can only say its rather unscrupulous for them to be doing dirty tricks like these to make cashing out difficult. It only shows that they're not willing to pay or just simply dragging time so that they can con more reviews out of their users.


My final advise is to STAY AWAY FROM REVIEWSTREAM.COM!

Reviewstream.com - a scam

I've been using revewistream.com for quite a while now. 

If you're wondering what it is, it's a site whereby you get paid to write reviews for them. They claim to be rather free about what you write about and how you write.

But is it true?


Yes, it is ...BUT that is before you near your minimum cashout rate. And the way they calculate the cashout rate is very odd - it's the normal rate of your first accepted review x10. Meaning if your first review is accepted at a bulk rate ($3) but the normal rate of that particular type of review is $15, your cahsout rate is $150.

Although they claim to let you write anything and like how you would talk to your friend about the item/product, they do reject your reviews. And you'll never know why, because their reason will always be vague. (Sounds fishy? Yes it is, meaning they can reject anything at anytime as and when they like)

If you ask me if they pay? I am VERY skeptical. Some say they do, and some face what I faced. They started to reject EVERY SINGLE of my reviews (although I write them the same way I did with my past accepted reviews) when I am just about $20 away from the cash-out. The reason is obvious, huh?


One of the reason they gave is laughable, "is thit available in countries other than yours?" If they bother to check, the product is being sold in online shopping sites that ship worldwide. The rest they just copy and paste their usual line of "Helpful and entertaining information you provided is too limited or not unique enough to buy it. Thanks" To be honest, when I read the reviews on the site by other users, I can see tons of useless, unhelpful and not unique reviews. I've seen one that says "this product is nice, I drink it always. I drink it when I watch movie, when I have my meals or just alone like that. It's nice because my sons love it, my husband loves it and even my daughter loves it." (something along this line). Very unique, right? I can just change the product picture to another beverage and it would still work! Who cares if your whole family likes to drink it, what do I get from knowing about it? I want to know about the product!

If you ever do write for this site (at your own risk), I suggest YOU DO NOT READ the reviews there. It's not that all of them are bad, some are really good, but very often you come across a review that has no value at all that will make you really frustrated and confused about why your review is being rejected while they are being accepted! It will be frustrating, trust me especially if you put in numerous amount of efforts into all your reviews.

Also if you do a quick search online, there are no payment proofs from them posted online by users after 2014. (Well, at least I didn't find any, I only find a few from before 2012)

Although I really don't wish to be saying this, but I think Reviewstream is a SCAM! I don't think I will ever make that few dollars to reach the cashout. All my efforts of writing 40 over reviews for them will be gone down the drain. 
 

Beware of this scam site! They just give you false hope and then left you angry and sad by rejecting your reviews when you near the cashout!
